25 scale-ups, that means start-ups already in a growth phase, have been selected for the 4th Market Entry program in the areas of Clean Tech, Digital Health & Wellbeing, Fintech & Insurtech and Smart City in Zurich. This initiative of digitalswitzerland offers 25 later stage scale-ups a deep insight into the Swiss ecosystem. The program is supported by Kickstart, one of the largest innovation platforms in Europe. “The scale-ups, which have been in existence for an average of 4-5 years, come from a wide range of European countries, but companies from the USA and Israel were also represented at this year’s Market Entry,” explains Nicolas Bürer and Matthias Zwingli from digitalswitzerland. The 25 scale-ups have been given the opportunity to meet with experts from leading corporations, public institutions, innovation platforms, not only to further develop their concepts, but also to boost a possible market entry in Switzerland. Next to that, they had an opportunity to also participate at the NOAH conference.

Countries represented by Market Entry 2021 scaleups include Belgium, Bosnia, Denmark, Italy, Israel, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Norway, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, UK, USA and more..

New Zealand scaleup CarbonClick accelerates climate action for businesses by unlocking the power of transparent, meaningful carbon offsets. They do this by making carbon offsetting easy to integrate at the point of sale, and provide full visibility over the cumulative impact this has through direct traceability of the gold standard local reforestation and international clean energy projects they have supported. Since launching in 2019, CarbonClick has helped over 900 businesses offset 28+ million kg of CO2, equating to 1.4+ million trees growing in a year.

Italy-based scaleup Enerbrain turns wasteful buildings into smarter, healthier and more sustainable ones with an innovative IoT energy retrofit solution. The company’s solution measures comfort and air quality parameters – such as humidity, temperature, CO2 and pollutants – and optimises them in real time. Enerbrain’s solution helps its clients to cut down on their energy related costs as well as boost their CO2 emission reduction targets, while achieving ESG goals relating to sustainability and digital transformation. Enerbrain has numerous partnerships with companies and large players operating in various sectors, including energy, food and retail, hospitals, schools, airports and museums.
